I invested very strongly in my Facebook network.. building it up to the strange organic thing that it is now. I signed up many many years ago, and moved to other countries while utilizing it, and collected friends in different areas while I lived there. I anticipated it would be a little weird migrating around with my strange blob of a network.

But it felt like the most organic way to deal with information as it is changing in today's time. It's difficult to imagine what information is supposed to go where. I have friends that often don't speak english. Sometimes I'm a person that doesn't like to speak english.

You trying to think about non-discriminatory ways to share information that also still siphons it in ways that gets stuff to people that will appreciate it. A lot of randomization, but still specially placed.

I enjoyed Facebook very much when I lived in japan. Didn't utilize it when I was at work, didn't even utilize the internet when I was at work, unless it was thursday. It was the way I wanted to do things, focus on materials around me, books in front of my face, like the olden days.

I wasn't anti-technology, but I had all my time at home to be using my computer, so it didn't seem necessary to sit in front of a screen all the time. So when I would go home, there were several websites that I would frequent, and Facebook was definitely a major one of them.

But myself, as an international studies major, looks at the question "what is a nation?". Traditionally speaking there is that border looking at geography. However, there are different ways of describing a nation. It doesn't have to be about geography.

In today's day and age, I like to look at technology and websites. Websites are locations, so they utilized geography, which means thinking about websites is thinking about geography is looking at nations.

Having lived in Japan for as many years as I did, which were not really that many, but still significant especially for me. I look at Facebook as a very major Nation, it would be like China the United States or even Russia.

Given that the world has roughly 200 nations, it seems completely vital to me that there be more than just three major entities, so I very much enjoy dreamwidth, a smaller nation.

Still wondering where to explore still wondering where to be. Have fun y'all.
