sennashi_doreiThis journal is my current means of attempting to stay "in," whatever that means. Parts of me want to put down the phone and not pick it up again. I anticipate that most members of society are on the opposite end of the spectrum: difficult to put it down.
Well, it's not *that* bad to use the phone.. but imagining whom to reach out to, or why. I guess that many people these days have a major social network, with quite a few connections, and they just reach to everyone at once. Maybe more people attempt my style of communication than I think: the jump from a small conversation to a large one, and measuring that either by anticipated audience members, with included thoughts on access levels to types of information etc.
I miss having a larger pool of people to talk to, so why not go back? It's the hipster in me that says it is good to develop multi-laterally rather than all in one direction.
I try to keep up with the few folks that I've been talking to regularly, but I guess some folks think that I have it all together, and that I'm supposed to be in charge of some things that would be nice to actually be in charge of, but am not.
I'm holding on to say that technology is good, not bad, and imagining life stepping too far away from it is so non beneficial for anyone at all.
